Habit Rewards Family

Privacy Policy

Effective 3 October 2026

In short: Habit Rewards Family doesn't collect any data. There are no accounts, ads, analytics or tracking. What you enter stays on your phone. If you turn on family sharing, it's also kept in your own iCloud account, shared only with the people you invite.

What the app stores, and where

The app keeps your children's names, habits, daily ticks, extra tasks, reward amounts and payments in a database on your iPhone. The home-screen widget reads the same database. None of it is sent to the developer or to anyone else.

Family sharing (optional)

If you choose Share with the other parent, the app stores a copy of the family's data in your private iCloud database, using Apple's CloudKit. Only the people you invite can see it. The developer has no access to it. Apple handles this storage under the Apple Privacy Policy.

Choosing Stop sharing deletes the shared copy from iCloud; each phone keeps its own copy. Choosing Leave family removes you from the family; your phone keeps its copy.

Backups and exports

Backups, spreadsheets (CSV) and PDFs are only created when you ask. They go wherever you choose to save or send them, such as Files, Mail or Messages.

Reminders and Face ID

Daily reminders are scheduled on your iPhone; nothing is sent to a server. Face ID or your passcode protects the parent settings. iOS checks it, and the app only learns whether the check passed.

Children

The app is meant for parents to use. It doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Deleting your data

Deleting the app removes its data from your phone. If you used family sharing, choose Stop sharing (or Leave family) in the app's Settings first, to remove the shared copy from iCloud.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
